WRITE PLACE, RIGHT TIME (Christian Publishing House, 2013)

I ENJOYED THIS BOOK. The main character, Don Lamplighter, is a likeable guy. He is making a living by working at WalMart and writing as a journalist on the side. We aren’t too far into the book when we find out that this guy is a good Samaritan type which leads him into adventure after adventure. I particularly like Lichterman’s development of his characters: the evil Absalom, the good-guy Don, and Don’s wife, Gloria. There are witty moments and interesting twists. This book is for the Christian reader. The main character lives his Christianity out and draws strength from his daily Bible readings. Verses and spiritual thoughts are part of this book’s offering. The book ending leaves you hanging in wait for another chapter or a sequel to bring closure to the loose threads–and to bring the bad guys to justice. In fact, that is the author’s intent. We can expect more books from Dean M. Lichterman as the drama plays out.
