THE MEETING PLACE: Moments with God at Lookout Point (Bloomington: Inspiring Voices, a service of Guideposts, 2012)

Journey with Norma L. Brumbaugh to Lookout Point as she speaks with God. Because of an inner need for healing and peace, N. L. Brumbaugh spent one year making weekly one-hour visits to her meeting place with God. Her visits to the lookout became a vital absorbing of the natural world while in earnest she sought God through prayer and contemplation–with thoughts rich in tone and texture.

“I got up early to watch the sunrise, remembering back to a year ago when my sorrow began, regret in my thoughts; and my child’s custodial battle compounding my sadness. I climbed the creek bank and then walked in the driveway, speaking out loud to  the God I love. Songs started running through my head one right after another. I sang their words while looking up at the trees, melodies, and refrains, thinking of the meaning implied in each son’s words: ‘Morning has broken, like the first morning, blackbird has spoken, like the first dawn …’

Here is N. L. Brumbaugh’s (my) book. An inspirational writing that takes you to a place of comfort, help, and healing. It is an intimate walk with God that is a descriptive account of sorrow turned to triumph. Join with me as I  view the beauties of nature, share my heart, and speak in intimacy with God. This book is a powerful meditation on life, nature, and God. It has healing strength in its words.paperbackstack
